It’s been almost ten years since their last album,
so Zero One Music is very excited to present you
with Koxbox’s latest, ‘The Scanner’. Featuring
nine seriously psychedelic tracks, each with the
signature Koxbox soundscapes and mind-melting
effects. Lasse Illinton has joined forces with
Franke Madsen to create this new Koxbox album.
They also have a side project (also on Zero One
Music) called ‘Franke and Illinton’, with a
slower, more tech-oriented sound.
Koxbox are indeed pillars of the psy-trance scene
with their first album ‘Forever After’ appearing
on Sven Vath’s legendary Harthouse label in 1995.
Followed by 2 full length albums on Blue Room
released ‘Dragon Tales’ and ‘Live at Burning Man
’96’. Their last album ‘U-Turn’ came out in 2006
on Twisted Records UK, so we have all been eagerly
awaiting this new sonic offering, and it does not
disappoint!
With impeccable mastering by Riktam, of GMS, the
tracks on this album flood your ears with
masterful sound design covering every inch of the
sonic spectrum, bringing you to your feet with
that irresistible Koxbox groove. A long time
coming, this album by one of the pioneers of
psychedelic trance is here to stay!
