Shuumat is Ruben Gato, a producer and DJ from Portugal. He has always had a strong inclination for music, and at the age of 17, began playing DJ sets at parties in Portugal and Switzerland. It was in the year 2007, that the Shuumat solo project was born. His experimentation with making electronic music utilizing DAW's such as Cubase & Logic, and a fusion of various software & hardware utilities for music production began to take form as the years progressed. Now, nearly 6 years later, equipped with his newly established studio and a few single releases to his name, he is determined and ready as ever to break new ground on his artistic capabilities as a fresh and talented music producer. He is always looking for new sounds and ways of improving his level of music production, and finally he will be presenting his debut EP with his recent signing to South African label Kaos Krew REcords. In the fast paced music industry, it's either do or die, you are either setting the trend or following suite trying to play catch up. The same scenario exists within music producers' circles, there is a constant desire to raise the bar and as such, "Break The Silence" on new production techniques, sounds and arrangements. One such producer completely embodies this constant drive for evolution and ultimately, perfection.
