Orpheus is a master in the art of music production, with a gift for creating psy trance from a wide range of styles. Yaniv Gabay, the artist behind Orpheus, has been producing trance since 2007 with releases on all the major psy labels and collaborations with Dark Soho, Dual Core, Bizzare Contact, Ananda Shake, Krunch, Berg, X-Noise, and Onyx. From progressive to full-on to chill, one thing remains constant, Orpheus's uncompromising quality and purity of sound.
Lonely Place stands out with its liquid bass line that stretches like a rubber band. The cleverly used vocal samples give the track an added dimension.
Orpheus goes deeper and darker on Walking In Egypt. The Middle Eastern influenced melody of the breakdown gives this track lots of character to stand out on the dance floor.
Orpheus outdoes himself on his incredible remix of the Astrix classic Coolio. He creates a fresh contemporary version while still paying homage to the original most notably in the etherial melody of the breakdown and the biting acid melody that climbs out of the break.
Rounding out this amazing EP is the downtempo track, Heartbeat, which is an eerie yet beautiful piece of music that is both dark and cinematic in it's composition. Heartbeat is a musical work of art.
